the sassquad retrail project

At Sassquad Trail Running, we care deeply about our community, the environment, and the gear that helps us enjoy the trails. That’s why we’re launching the Sassquad ReTrail Project: a simple way to reduce waste, share resources, and support fellow trail runners. This is about paying it forward, building community, and keeping gear out of landfills.

how it works:

Have gear you no longer use? Drop it in our ReTrail Bins. Need something? Take what you need (no donation required to take gear). The ReTrail bins for gear drop-off only are located at the three Sneaker Factory Running Centers.

ReTrail bins that are available for you to drop-off AND pick-up are available at each of our Trail Parties.

what you can donate:

All items need to be clean and in good condition:

  • Lightly used trail shoes

  • Shirts, jackets, shorts

  • Running vests and hydration packs

  • Headlamps, lights, and reflective gear

  • Buffs, gaiters, gloves, arm sleeves

  • Dry bags, tarps, storage/duffle bags

  • Sleeping bags and sleeping pads

  • Lightly used traction devices (like ExoSpikes, YakTrax etc)

What shouldn't be donated:

  • Undergarments (unless brand new and never used)

  • Socks (unless brand new and never used)

  • Broken, ripped, or heavily worn gear
