Oh, and we LOVE having families volunteer at our events! CRYPTID CAPTAINS

Which Cryptid Captain position are you interested in applying for?

We have Cryptid Captains for each Trail Party that include captains for course marking/sweeping and the aid station. Our events are growing so much that we need to have more leadership present at our events and doing so will provide some squatchy consistency.  Captains score free entries at our events!

  • Course Captains will take the lead with organizing their course marking team for the day before the race and their team for course sweeping on race day. Starting with the Squatchy Leftovers next month, we are now going to do a Second Sweep to ensure that all markers are removed from the course. We want to leave the trails better than we found them!

  • Aid Station Captains will take the lead with supervising the aid station during the Trail Party. Aid station volunteers will report to the Aid Station Captain throughout the Trail Party. Captains will help us stay on top of food/water inventory throughout the event and most importantly create a theme for the aid station! All of our trail parties are special so we want each aid station to be unique.
