TRAIL PARTY DETAILS
This is the perfect opportunity to work on your fueling and hydration skills! Bring a food item that you want to try plus extra to share with everyone else. This will create a Squatchy Smörgåsbord for everyone to enjoy!
This is a go-your-own-pace run/hike! You can do as many loops as you'd like - no pressure to complete a certain amount. We will leave the course markers up until 3pm. Please RSVP for this free event so we can get an idea of how many people will be joining us!
We use the same 5K loop from our Squatchy Leftovers and Frosty Fat Sass events. There are portapottys at the start/finish area. There's 289 ft of gain. The course is a great mix of mellow carriage roads (dirt or gravel wide trails) and a bit of technical singletrack. There is one large climb towards the end of the loop. This is a GREAT intro to the trails if this is your first event or you're just starting out. If you're going to be out there for 3 or 6 hours, we recommend a grippy shoe that can give ya some comfort over rocks and roots.
Bring whatever you'll need to self-support your run/hike! You'll want to have a pair of trail running shoes (or hiking boots if you prefer), a water bottle or hydration pack and food/snacks. You'll get a parking spot in the trailhead parking lot, so you can easily access your car if you would like to leave gear there. There are portajohns at the trailhead!
